Enrollment & Scheduling

Families can begin the enrollment process by contacting us or scheduling a tour. During the enrollment process, we will discuss your child’s needs, your preferred schedule, availability, required documents, tuition, and next steps.

Required documents may include enrollment forms, emergency contact information, authorized pickup information, immunization records, allergy or medical information, parent identification, and any additional forms required for your child’s care plan.

Start dates depend on availability, completed enrollment paperwork, required documents, payment arrangements, and the type of care needed. We will confirm your child’s start date during enrollment.

If a space is not currently available, families may be placed on a waiting list. We will contact families when an opening becomes available that matches their child’s age, schedule, and care needs.

Yes. We offer full-time, part-time, drop-in, evening, overnight, weekend, 24-hour, and school break care when available. Availability may depend on staffing, ratios, schedule, and space.

Yes, last-minute and drop-in care may be available when space allows. Same-day care is not guaranteed and must be confirmed before drop-off.

Yes. Infants are cared for based on their individual feeding, rest, comfort, and developmental needs. We work with parents to maintain consistent routines.

Families may be asked to bring items such as diapers, wipes, extra clothes, bottles, formula or breast milk, comfort items, weather-appropriate clothing, and any required personal care items. Specific needs will be reviewed during enrollment.

Safety & Health

Kindred Kids follows applicable childcare licensing requirements and safety standards. Licensing status and required documentation can be discussed during enrollment or tour.

We maintain a safe, structured, and supervised home-based environment. Safety practices include secure pickup procedures, emergency contacts, authorized pickup lists, supervision, safe sleep practices, cleanliness routines, and age-appropriate care.

Children should stay home if they have symptoms such as fever, vomiting, diarrhea, contagious rash, pink eye, flu-like symptoms, or any illness that prevents them from comfortably participating in care. Children may return once they are well enough and no longer pose a health risk to others.

Emergency contact information is kept on file for every child. In the event of an emergency, parents or guardians will be contacted as soon as possible. If urgent medical care is needed, emergency services may be contacted.

Caregivers are expected to meet required childcare training standards, including CPR and First Aid certification when applicable.

Programs & Learning

Yes. Kindred Kids uses age-appropriate, play-based learning activities that support early development, independence, creativity, social-emotional growth, early literacy, early math, and school readiness.

Yes. School-age children may receive homework support, reading support, and quiet study time during after-school or extended care hours.

After homework, children may participate in quiet play, reading, arts and crafts, enrichment activities, outdoor play, group games, and other age-appropriate activities.

Yes. Overnight care is available for families who need nighttime or extended-hour childcare. Overnight care may include dinner, quiet activities, bedtime routines, supervised rest, early-morning wake-up, and breakfast.

We do our best to support each child’s individual needs when we can safely and appropriately do so. Families should discuss any special needs, medical needs, behavioral needs, allergies, or accommodations during enrollment so we can determine whether Kindred Kids is the right fit.

Transportation

Transportation may be available in limited areas and must be arranged in advance. Availability depends on distance, schedule, staffing, and route needs.

Do you pick up from schools?

When transportation is provided, children must be transported safely and appropriately based on age, size, and applicable safety requirements. Transportation details, permissions, and expectations will be reviewed before transportation begins.

Communication & Billing

Kindred Kids uses Brightwheel for parent communication, updates, billing, payments, invoices, receipts, attendance, and important notices. Parents may also contact us directly with questions or concerns.

Billing is handled through Brightwheel. Families can view invoices, receipts, balances, and payment history through their Brightwheel account.

Payment due dates depend on your child’s care plan and billing schedule. Tuition and care fees must be paid according to the agreed payment schedule.

Refunds or credits depend on the type of care, cancellation timing, and the reason for cancellation. Same-day cancellations and no-shows are typically not refundable. Provider emergency closures are refunded.

Because Kindred Kids offers flexible and extended care options, we typically do not charge traditional late-pickup fees. However, parents are expected to be mindful of their scheduled pickup times and communicate as early as possible if they are running late.

Repeated late pickups, missed communication, or pickups outside the agreed care schedule may require a schedule adjustment or additional extended-care charges.
