After school doesn’t have to mean simply waiting for parents to get off work. At Kindred Kids Early Learning Center in Apopka, Florida, children receive a structured afternoon that combines academic support, tutoring, enrichment, active play, and nutritious meals and snacks in a welcoming, DCF-licensed learning environment.

We pick up enrolled students from selected local elementary schools and bring them to Kindred Kids for an afternoon designed to help them learn, stay engaged, and complete their schoolwork before parent pickup. A Structured Day, Before and After School
From morning drop-off to evening pickup, children follow a predictable routine that balances schoolwork, learning, play, and rest. The daily schedule may vary based on school dismissal times and the needs of the program.

FAST Testing Dates For 2026–27
Florida students take the FAST assessment three times each school year. Below are the official 2026–27 statewide testing windows from the Florida Department of Education, so you can plan when to register. Schools in Orange County and Seminole County choose their own testing days within each window, so please confirm exact dates with your child’s school.
- PM1 (Fall): Kindergarten–Grade 2, August 3 – September 25, 2026. Grades 3–10 reading and Grades 3–8 math, August 10 – September 25, 2026.
- PM2 (Winter): Grades K–10 reading and Grades K–8 math, November 30, 2026 – January 22, 2027.
- PM3 (Spring): Kindergarten–Grade 2, April 12 – May 28, 2027. Grades 3–10 reading and Grades 3–8 math, May 3 – May 28, 2027.
- Writing (Grades 4–10): March 29 – April 9, 2027.
