Health & Safety

Thoughtful care, safe routines, and clear policies to help protect every child in our care.

Our Safety Standards

Safe, Clean, and Carefully Supervised Care

Our daily routines are designed to support each child’s health, comfort, and overall safety.

🧼

Cleaning & Sanitation

We maintain clean, organized spaces throughout the day to support a healthy environment for children.

  • Toys and frequently touched surfaces are cleaned regularly
  • Shared spaces are kept neat and sanitary
  • Handwashing is encouraged throughout the day
  • Diapering and bathroom areas are cleaned and disinfected properly
  • Bedding, sleep areas, and care spaces are kept clean and organized
🌙

Safe Sleep Practices

Safe sleep is especially important for infants and young children. We follow appropriate sleep routines and supervision practices to support safe rest.

  • Infants are placed on their backs to sleep
  • Sleep spaces are kept clear and appropriate for safe rest
  • Children are monitored during naps and overnight care
  • Calm bedtime routines help children settle comfortably
🤒

Health & Illness Prevention

To help protect all children in care, children should stay home if they are experiencing symptoms that may affect their comfort or the health of others.

Fever Vomiting Diarrhea Contagious rash Unexplained persistent cough Pink eye Flu-like symptoms Any illness that prevents comfortable participation

Parents are asked to keep children home until they are well enough to return and no longer pose a health risk to others.

Secure Pickup Procedures

Children are only released to authorized individuals approved by the parent or guardian.

  • Only authorized pickups are permitted
  • Identification may be required when needed
  • Parents should notify us in advance of any pickup changes
  • Clear communication helps us keep every child safe
🚨

Emergency Preparedness

We take emergencies seriously and maintain clear procedures to respond calmly and appropriately when needed.

  • Emergency contacts are kept on file
  • Staff are trained in CPR and First Aid
  • Fire and emergency procedures are followed as required
  • Families are contacted promptly if an emergency occurs
💬

Clear Communication With Parents

We believe families feel most comfortable when communication is open, timely, and clear.

  • Parents receive updates as needed regarding their child
  • Illness, injuries, or concerns are communicated promptly
  • We encourage questions and ongoing communication
  • Important policies are reviewed during enrollment
